Why invest in reusable products?

You'd be surprised how many things you just have in your house that can have not one but many more lives! When you have something that has worn out or finished, think: how can I give it another use?

If you have already decided to take the path of sustainability like us, welcome! But, above all: congratulations, you have made a correct choice.

Today we want to talk about the importance of betting on reusable products.

What is the first piece of advice we would like to give you?

Use what you have. With this simple advice, you would already be saving and also supporting a more sustainable world. Forget throwing and buying when it really may not be necessary.

You’d be surprised how many things you just have in your house that can have not one but many more lives! When you have something that has worn out or finished, think: how can I give it another use?

Now, if you bet on reusable products, when investing, do it in products that you positively know can have a second life and you will be able to reuse them.

Reusable bottle.

Did you know that a plastic bottle takes about 500 years to decompose and with a reusable one we would avoid using up to 167 each year?

We leave you the following reusable bottle options:

Glass. Your water will NEVER alter its taste. They are easy to recycle and have a useful life if you take care of it, we could say almost infinite. In your glass bottle there will be no transfer of flavour and if you dress it with a silicone or neoprene lining to avoid possible falls, you will increase its useful life even more.

Stainless steel. They have a higher cost, but there is no transfer of taste or smell. You can use it with any drink, it is light, resistant and has no coating. In addition, you have the option of finding it in the form of a thermos, which can keep the water cold for about 24 hours. They are obviously eternally recyclable which is wonderful!

In addition to our Fruiwa bottles, we recommend you reuse a lot of other products, such as:

  • Bags. Say goodbye to disposable plastic bags. Each Spaniard uses an average of 133 bags a year. Taking into account a single use, imagine the number of bags that are used. Don’t you think it’s better to have your own bags made of a more durable material and waste less?
  • Razor. A total of 2 billion disposable razor blades are thrown away every year in the world. 2000! A real barbarity. Used by both men and women, around 52 are spent on average per year. What alternative do we suggest? Steel razor, which if you take care of it, can last you a lifetime.
  • Feminine hygiene. Women use an average of 234 tampons or pads a year. Take it now! And if we talk about price, we can spend around €60 a year, which in comparison, for example, with a menstrual cup that lasts much longer (up to 10 years if you take good care of it) and whose price is much lower, around €25… do accounts. You would spend about €2.5 a year having a menstrual cup.

And we could go on giving you examples and more examples of reusable products, but we would take forever. As you can see, there are almost infinite reuse options for almost all the products that we have at home today. Investigate, bet on reusing and join the change!
